Finally it's sunny again

I rarely post about my son or being a mama. Perhaps that should change, but I like a certain about of privacy or rather, I like my blog to be more about my interests and to promote others rather than myself directly. But since Mother's Day is imminent, and my sentimentality grows as the world opens up to experience through and with Avenir, I thought it important to share an intimate moment with my son.

My talented designer husband, Julian Gosper, passed off some of his screen grab collection. I encouraged him to start using Pintrest since his method doesn't retain the original link. For now, here are a couple of my favorites. Sorry that I have no idea where they came from.

I'm a total sucker for tea towels. Saw these by Lisa Rupp on a blog while Pinning, and I couldn't resist purchasing a couple.

I'm almost finished sewing my first quilt. Well, I attempted one before for a friend's baby, so that was technically my first, but this is the first time I've made one properly (with lots of mistakes!) I've been taking the class at Spool of Thread on the newly trendy street of 15th where it meets Fraser and Kingsway. It's been such a fun class and I can't wait to take more there soon.

Just saw this in the Winter 2011 copy of Montecristo magazine. My husband, Julian Gosper, designed this book years ago, for his good friend and artist, Ron Terada.
