I needed a break from being a mama a few weekends ago, so I headed off to Victoria to visit a dear friend. The ferry ride from Tsawwassen is truly beautiful, and I got taken to many unexpectedly great places all weekend. My friend lives in Fernwood which reminds me much more of Seattle or Portland than to Vancouver with its coffee shops, farmers market and clapboard buildings. Habit was a great spot for a vegan cookie and coffee.
